is it possible to safely transfer my emunand save file to sys? I want to sent some mons from HOME to my emunand. And if its safe/possible how do i do this?

Guiformat will check that out. Other thing since my sd size is so large how do I transfer back to the fat32 SD card getting around the file transfer size/limitation?
You can either split or USB/network install any .NSP or .XCI files which will mainly be the large files you will encounter.
Hi guys. I have a couple quick questions. I am about to put the Tinfoil NRO Self-installer on my Switch mSD card. When I go to run the Self-installer in CFW (Atmosphere), is it better to run it in title override mode, or should I run in Applet mode?

Also, I am looking at switching mSD cards, going from 256GB to 400GB mSD card. How should I go about formatting the 400GB mSD card? I read on here that FAT32 is recommended? Also, what cluster size should I use?

Help appreciated :)
I would not recommend using that title installer. Instead, I highly suggest using TinWoo Installer instead. I myself personally use it and have never ever encountered any problems whilst using it.

Transfer? Yes. Safely? No. You will be actively injecting modified files into your console that Nintendo can detect in the name of save files. Even under a hypothetical scenario where you could safely perform the maneuver, the fact is the save data itself can get you banned.

Are you sure its a game update? It could also be a system update. Are you on the latest firmware version?

yeh it’s game update, coz all games have a progress bar with a X on it. I’m on 12.1.0 for system firmware which is latest…

Does Tinwoo have Tinfoil shops? Also, I am looking at switching mSD cards, going from 256GB to 400GB mSD card. How should I go about formatting the 400GB mSD card? I read on here that FAT32 is recommended? Also, what cluster size should I use?

Well if all of your games are really updated, then you can try entering Maintenance Mode once to see if it clears the message. You enter Maintenance Mode by holding volume + and - when turning the console on.

No but due to the way Google changed how they handle drives, most if not all shops should be dead. And you read correctly that FAT32 is recommended because exFAT can corrupt your SD card unlike FAT32. Cluster size can be set to default.

I thought Tinfoil was the way to get game updates and DLC. I am mainly wanting to update my games that are on game cards such as Disgaea 6 and Super Paper Mario Origami King. How do you suggest I proceed? People don't use Tinfoil and Tinfoil shops anymore? Thoughts and help appreciated :)

Split the USB transfer how? Theres no utility/ workaround to do it all in one? "transfer, dragdrop"
I don't have backups of all the games I downloaded onto it and would rather not reinstall them 1 buy 1.
Quark or anything like that able to do this big of a transfer?

I don't recommend it and I don't think many other people would do the same. As I've stated earlier, I have always used TinWoo Installer and have never run into any issues.

I thought you meant how to install new games going forward with FAT32. Did you just want to transfer your contents? If so, then you don't need to perform any extra steps. The Nintendo Switch automatically splits any game larger than 4 GB into <4 GB chunks regardless of how the SD card is formatted. You can even check yourself by taking a peek inside the Nintendo folder; you won't find any file larger than 4 GB in there.

oh shit thats interesting yeah sorry should have clarified, my 128 sd was nearly full so i thougth fat32 would block such a big transfer on windows

So updated the system thru the new tool with desired firmware reboots all looks good but the firmware is 8.1.0.
My launch configs for cfw and sysnad boot into the lower firmware.
Am able to launch all homebrew

So it flashed to the system correctly but my launch configs neither work. The stock configs works but no cfw do I just need to create a eemcu or am I missing something else?

What was the process you used to mod the switch? It sounds like you're changing your system files without an emunand? It's ok if you don't plan to use online, but .. anyway

Hi,

my Mariko Switch Lite with SX Lite seems to have problems when writing to eMMC. I can't flash Boot0/1 via Etcher (CRC error) and neither can I use Hekate's restore function to restore Boot0/1 ("Error writing 3072 blocks @ LBA... FFDD00... try 1... try 1.... aborting"). Tried it with two different SD cards, both of which original Sandisk cards that work fine elsewhere.
Is there something I can do?

Never had a eemcu or any form of that. I hacked my switch 4+ years ago, I think it was fusegleee. I had the jig and all that to get it to work. Never cared of it had wifi capabilities or not since I own a switch lite that isn't hacked. But my cfw and sysnad launch configs are not the same firmware that the physical hardware is now after the update. What am I missing?

What cfw are you using? I know atmosphere has to be updated for newer versions.

I dont know about fusee primary since I'm still a noob xD But worth looking into what needs to be updated.

No access to hombrew menus while I'm.booted into stock obviously.
Do I just need to create a eemcu partition?
This is what the system tells me when booted Into my cfw sysnand launch config

This is an emuMMC, as evidenced by the E at the end.

Oooooh! Okay, so how do I update my emummc? Is there something in daybreak I was supposed Todo?

If you run Daybreak while in your emuMMC, you will update your emuMMC.

That's what I did originally. Updated atmosphere and then the system firmware while I was booted into emummc. This sigpatch error wouldn't have anything Todo with it?
