How is the SD card and partition formatted?

formatted the sd on my computer as fat32, created the partition and the emummc using hekate.

You misunderstand. You can get banned for clearing logs regardless if you were online or not. The reason is because the console can track if logs were cleared. This is why the tool to remove logs was depreciated because it did the opposite of what it was intended for. Restoring a clean eMMC backup technically does not remove logs because what it really does is return the console to the state it was in when the backup was made. I also noticed you downgraded to 4.1 before restoring your clean backup which was a complete waste of time. Not only would restoring your backup return your firmware to 4.1 anyway but downgrading is a tricky process that could lead to more issues. Its too late not but next time, there is no point in downgrading before restoring a clean backup.

Haku33 does not restore eMMC backups; only Hekate can perform those. Haku33 is a dangerous program that artificially cleans the console which includes removing logs that can lead to a ban. In fact, someone has already been banned after using it so I would never recommend touching that app.

I used to use Goldleaf, but since it didn't support NSZ I changed to Lithium, but since I'm in the process of updating my firmware, I figured I could ask which one is an easy to use alternative if there are any.

There are no default, it is per preference, there are a lot installers out there just pick the one you like the most.

Because NSZ isn't an official format, NSZ is the same size as NSP after install, Goldleaf was bundle with Kosmos when it was still around, as for other installers you have like Tinleaf, Awoo, Goldbrick, Tinwoo.

There are a lot of them. In no particular order, we have DevMenu, Tinfoil, DZ, Goldleaf, Lithium, Awoo Installer, Tinleaf, and the newly released TinWoo. Personally, I use Awoo Installer but don't let that dissuade you from using any of the others.

Recently did a clean install on a newly initialized switch(atm 0.16.2 ofw 11.0.1 hekate 5.5.1) followed the nh-server guide. I can't get goldleaf or checkpoint to run. Checkpoint crashes, goldleaf just kicks me back to hb menu.

I updated to 10.2 and now I get an atmosphere crash anytime I insert a cart. I've turned off the no-gc in every file I can find, updated everything, cleaned out atmosphere folder... anything else I can try?

was using hekate before just tried fusee-primary seems the same with both (crash immediately upon inserting game card)

*edit* thanks for the help, through some combination of reinstalling everything and cleaning out the sd card it started working again

I just downgraded from 11.0.1 to 10.2.0 i tried athmosphere 15.0 till 16.2 but i keep on getting the 2002-2634 error code. As well as the console doesn't start up normally, This never happened to me and i just got lost on what to do. Hope someone knows the answer

Look like you burn your cartridge slot firmware, remove your cart.

guys, I've updated my switch to 11.0.1 today using this guide https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/extras/updating/ (first atmo+hekate, then sysmmc then emummc using tegraexplorer and daydream)

the current state is that it boots into atmo fine (showing latest version of os and atmo under system) but I am not able to get to the hbmenu pressing "R" - it simply loads album or tries to start the game. Nor will it start any game - tried a few, don't wanna try more not to corrupt the files as this always gives me "Could not start the software. Please try again from the HOME Menu." error.

Any ideas what to try to make all work again? I'd prefer not to have to rebuild the entire emummc from the scratch as I have "awoo-installed" a few hundred GBs worth of data so that would be unfortunate...

Question, if I were to dump and then install my own physical games on an offline emuMMC, would that increase my ban chance in any way? would these touch sysNAND somehow, would my sysNAND try to "see" the files on the SD card?
