I just got a hackable switch and it is on 4.1 firmware. I want to install reinx on it.Do i update to official 6.2 through wifi first? or do i do it offline?
You don't have to update your firmware to """""install""""" ReiNX but if you want to update your firmware, I recommend doing so with the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX.
so If I go back to official firmware I will be able to go back online without getting banned, or is this unknown?
You risk getting banned anything you bring a hacked console online, regardless if its in CFW or OFW.

As far as we know, the Joy-Cons don't have their own telemetry.
Whoops. Meant to say you would have to use a different CFW but since you're running the game off of the HDD, I don't think LayeredFS supports that so you will need to load the game either from SD card or NAND.
Your gamecart slot is updated and you can update online when using Atmosphere to prevent fuses from being burnt as long as AutoRCM is enabled beforehand. Just be aware there is a risk in banning yourself when you connect the console online.
The only reason one would update to 6.2 is because they wish to play online which is never a good idea with a hacked console. Plus you can update the firmware offline after hacking the console so it makes less sense to update it before setting up ReiNX (note that you do not install any CFW). Last but not least, there is more support for CFW and homebrew on lower firmwares than higher ones. Only update if you plan to play online or if a game requires a higher firmware.
Format the SD card to FAT32. If the SD card is bigger than 32 GB, you will have to use a third-party program such as GUIFormat.
Kinda dump question but I still want to be sure before I try it out. The switch has 32GB of internal storage. Is it possible to install nsp games on the internal storage instead of the SD card and play them normaly with Reinx?

Lowest firmware for PKM is 5.1.0

Yes, but you will need to put it on the sd card first.

Is it possible to enable docked power profile when charging in handheld mode along with upscaling games to 720p? I'm asking because blurry games are literally unplayable for me

I just bought a new switch. Its serial is XAJ40010 and it came with OFW 2.2.0
I've tried the paperclip exploit to boot it in recovery mode but it wont boot. It allways boots up normally. Could this be a patched switch or I'm doing something wrong?

Possible? Yes. Has it been done? No.

Being patched or unpatched has absolutely nothing to do with RCM. In fact, the only reason we know patched units exist is because they can still enter RCM but fail to accept payloads. Paperclips are among some of the most unreliable methods of entering RCM as I myself use a paperclip and it once took me a whole hour before I entered RCM. Either keep trying or use something else because your serial number is not even patched.

What do you mean

Yes, but you will need to put it on the sd card first.
put it on the SD card first?Do you mean put the nsp file on the sd card ,then install it on the internal switch memory and then delete the nsp file from the SD card?

Hey! My SD card is exFAT. Can I cheat on SX OS with that? Or is FAT32 still obligatory? Any known workaround? Thanks :vul2:

My SDCard is exFat and the Cheat Engine works.

Only DZfoil and DevMenu have that type of functionality. And by DZfoil, I mean the homebrew application DZ which was renamed to tinfoil.

I found this thread - which may or may not be applicable to me on installing DevMenu...I'm on FW 6.0.1

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-use-devmenu-on-4-0-0-5-1-0-offline.512627/

Is this the right version of TinFoil for me to use with SX OS?

Dumping them doesn't require SX OS. Use either gcdumptool or WAIN cart dumper. Playing them is another story. For non-SX OS CFW, you have to install the .XCI files. You can do that with ZeroTwoXCI, dOPUS, or n1dus. They require a keys file which you can obtain with another homebrew application known as lockpick. Alternatively, you can convert the .XCI files into .NSP format with 4NXCI or xci2nsp which also require a keys file.
When I use gcdumptool do I or do I not select "dump certificates" when I'm dumping a game cart? First I tried dumping certificates but it failed to install to SD from n1dus
