whats up guys, i got an OG switch from 2018 that i modded back in the day. i just updated atmosphere and hekate and installed tinfoil for the first time ever (lol) but my system software is insanely low. like its 8.1.0|AMS 1.9.4. i updated my CFW to the latest (for sigpatches) and now my games require me to go online. even when i go online (using all the dns stuff and incognito) it requires me to accept some updated privacy policy terms that i cannot get past due to incognito. anyone have a way around this?
Hello everyone! Total Noob here! I am looking to buy a used v1 switch running 14.1.2|AMS 1.4.0E, is this an okay firmware? Will it still be able to play all the latest games? Its a gift so I want to make sure it will work!
Also is there anyway to still use the official store and go online without mods or hacks if they have an official game, or would you have to stick strictly to the SD card?

Getting unofficial games to work on a modded Switch is still extremely difficult. So if that's your goal do a lot of research on that first. You *can* do it without even modding a Switch.
However, if you want to mod a Switch and still use official sources, the best best is to install your mod to the SD card and boot between your vanilla Switch (internal), and your modded Switch (SD) whenever you want.

Hiya!
I booted my switch yesterday, used AIO to update Atmosphere and Hecate, then updated Edizon, which gave me Breeze. Now I can't use cheats in any game.
Can someone please tell me where even to start?
I'm not a ding-a-ling, so if you want to msg me I promise I'll pick up what you're putting down.
I've got my switch powered off, my jig ready, and my SD card in my computer!
TIA!

Well, Nevermind. It Looks like there just aren't any cheat updates for the latest version of TotK. (
Hello everyone
I just updated to the latest Atmosphere because I did upgrade the console to the latest firmware.
Every time I boot in the CF I always enable the custom DNS on the Internet connection to avoid to connect to Nintendo's servers:
- 163.172.141.219
- 207.246.121.077
After I boot in atmosphere, I always check if I can update the games to make sure I am not connected to the Nintendo's servers and when I do that, normally, it gives me an error saying that the connection failed.
This time, though, I got the message about using the latest version of the software.
I did double check that the DNS were correctly applied and that I was on the custom firmware.
Both true.
I immediately switched off the console: I don't want to risk a ban.
Does anyone of you know what's happening?
why despite the custom DNS I was still able to connect to Nintendo's servers?
Cheers
By the way, I use the CF only to cheat in the single player games and never used a game I don't legitimately own.
I do not have emummc set up. I have RCM enabled, so could I use Hekate to boot to OFW, update, shut off, RCM back to Hekate and load CFW? I'm worried about other sites because they might have errors and I am still not seeing the newest firmware out there (from google searches)

if you are already banned, or if you don't care about being banned (assuming you are using cfw on sysnand and have homebrew or pirated games instealled), then yes you can do it that way
there are a few on github that use a script to download the firmware files and upload it there that I know of, the firmware files are digitally signed + checksum verifications are made on top of the signatures being checked. they can't be wrong or have errors, daybreak will check the files and won't even let you try to install them if something is not right
So, i already have my NUT server going and am fine with using this for my game backups, however, I can only use this while I'm at my house. I wanted to see how to run this privately over the web for when I am visiting my family in other states, and just wondered, does anyone have any clear and detailed info on making my own tinfoil shop for private use when NOT at home?
'Error code: 2144-0001 (0x29)' '0100000000001000' Whenever I open album.
I have a modded oled btw
I have no such '0100000000001000' file in my atmosphere/contents to delete hence why I am really confused. Replaced hbmenu.nro same issue. Issue goes away temporarily when holding r to launch album.
I want to be able to downgrade to 19.1.0 if I want as it's the last clean backup I have. What's the best way to upgrade to 20.x.x without burning fuses?
sorry to bother you again witih this, but im pretty sure i installed CFW to SD as it is almost always installed to SD correct? how do i check?
additionally, when i do RCM (hekate) i can launch into stock, which allows me to accept eula and go online to nintendo store but this does not transfer over when i load emuMMC as the EULA still shows it is not accepted. If you are referring to the reboot option to OFW, this option is not available to me as the button is black and does not function. the only other button next to it is RCM which brings me back to hekate.
so my main issue right now is that to accept EULA, i need to connect to nintendo servers. this is not possible from my CFW due to variety of DNS settings and incognito mode so i dont get banned. i can accept them on stock launch but this does not transfer over to CFW (presumably due to non-communication with nintendo servers) and renoot to OFW option is not available for some reason (maybe due to hekate.ini file perhaps?) not sure where to go from here.. some more help would be appreciated
i am having heavy battery drain issue. so i just copy & paste that into the ini? cuz mine starts off looking like this
[eupld]
; Disable uploading error reports to Nintendo
; upload_enabled = u8!0x0
[usb]
; Enable USB 3.0 superspeed for homebrew
; 0 = USB 3.0 support is system default (usually disabled), 1 = USB 3.0 support is enabled.
usb30_force_enabled = u8!0x1
[ro]
but what you say to copy&paste doesn't have the ; are the ";" needed in this case? and will updating to 20.1.1 fix the battery issue? i'm on 20.4.0
I updated my FW to 20.5.0 and Atmosphère to 1.9.5 so I could play Silksong but now some games are getting an error message.
I now I messed up because this FW version still very new. Does anyone knows how can I fix this?

Is your sys-patch up-to-date? 1.5.6 should be the latest version. Maybe some of the games that aren't working anymore need to be updated as well? Or reinstalled? Reinstalling games sometimes fixes those issues.

My sys-patch is up-to-date, and I used this guide to change it from the sigpatches.
The only game I tried reinstalling was Hollow Knight and it didn't work. I found this site that says the version that I have requires CFW: 8.1.0 + Atmosphere 0.9.0 but I don't know how accurate that is.
Is there a way I can at least downgrade to a older FW?
