Hi! I bought an OLED Switch to replace my v1 model. It's chipped, so I'm good to start. Anything in particular I need to mind? I will mind:

• not updating to 20.x (if it isn't already)
• making a NAND backup first thing
• manually migrating my savegames from emuMMC using Checkpoint

OLED burnt fuse when update, it is recommended to have a NAND backup on hand for disaster recovery.

If you dont have emunand then you can drag and drop the files to the new sd card make sure its fat32 32kb and MBR partition scheme not GPT a lot of new high compacity sd cards come formatted as GPT. If you have emunand then there is tools to clone your emunand partition i think one of them is called emutool. And to get a good sd card thats not fake buy one in a trusted retail store or amazon there are fakes on there so i always get the ones sold directly by amazon. Thanks — I’ll need to revisit what you meant about using the MBR partition scheme instead of GPT, since I’m not familiar with it. I also had no idea the Switch could handle 1 TB SD cards!

The switch can handle up to 2tb sd cards i have a 1.5tb in mine.

If you have emunand then you need to copy all the files from your sd card to the new one and then copy your emunand partition to the new sd card. So to check if your using emunand or not boot into custom firmware like normal then go to settings/system and where it says system update current version 20.1.1 or whatever firmware your switch is on there will be a S after for system nand and a E after for emunand so it will say firmware 20.1.1S for system nand and 20.1.1E if you have emunand.

yo, im trying to set up tinfoil on my nintendo switch, im running HOS 20.3.0 and AMS 1.9.3
when i attempt to install tinfoil through the nro in HB menu, it says "checking software information" then gives me error 2155-8007
i am using emmc, with fusee and atmosphere, including sigpatches
help would be appreciated!

update: i fixed it! i used sys-patch, and fusee to fix it

Hi all. I'm currently on 19.0.0 but just installed some game updates requiring 20.1.5.

What's the latest HOS version I can install without having issues, with up to date atmosphere and sys-patch ?

I keep seeing here warnings not to update to 20.x, until all homebrew are compatible. Is there still important homebrews not compatible with 20.x ?

When I launch EMUMMC (which I use 99% of the time), it shows an E at the end.

I tried this method today and it did clone the SD card but, It wont launch emuMMC.



I honestly don't know what to do next.

EDIT* Ah I got it to work (I just had to choose the sector by sector option but now I have a unallocated 357 GB

Hi I'm having issues with my switch's battery draining in standby. I've tried draining the battery and charging multiple times, disabling notifications, replacing the battery, disabling all internet access (even tried airplane mode), deleting every user profile, and even making a new one with access to NSO and accepting terms. None of that worked. So my final option is to recreate the emuMMC and reinstall all of my games. I wanted to know if there is a certain guide I should follow to recreate it or can I just pick up from this guide and start with the partition step to solve the issue. Also if anyone has been in my exact position lmk if any other fix worked.

Hi guys, i just update my ofw to 20.3 and my cfw to 1.9.3, everything works fine and try some game it works as well, but i just realize when i lock my screen and leave it like 2 - 5 minute and press the lock screen again, it will show atmoshphere logo, like the switch just restart it self. And it keep it like that every time i lock my screen, anyone can help me ?

I am creating a library project for windows as a jack of all trades; however, I can't figure out how to make the json index.tfl to show up in tinfoil. The only way for me to get it to show up is if the file name is [titleID].extension otherwise nothing shows up. I am hoping I may have some help as to what I am doing wrong. I rather keep the user's file name preference instead of changing it to just bracketed title id (even if it is better for keeping duplicates down).

I tried to encode the uri but that made it not even show up on tinfoil... I am thinking my app is cursed now.
I am using Tinfoil 20.
Am I using the correct method or are there any other methods I can use to post the data for tinfoil to read.
