But I'm already on 19.0.0 and they're not supposed to require 19.0.1, so what gives?

Maybe the update is incomplete or something?

I've had something like this happen with the Slay the Princess – The Pristine Cut where the base game came with 1.0.1 update which should've worked on the 19.0.1 firmware. However, it refused to start saying that I need to update. After that, I downloaded 1.0.1 update as a separate file and updated the game afterwards. Now it worked without issue, despite still being on the same version. While installing the game only, i got this warning in DBI: “This application base is not stand alone. Make sure you installed update” which makes me believe that the game's update that was included with the base game was incomplete or something like that.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that's it. When I said "games that require 19.0.0" I actually meant "game updates that require 19.0.0". When I downgrade to a version that doesn't need 19.0.0, it works.

Unless you have a reason to be on 19.0.0, I'd recommend updating to the latest 19.0.1 instead. After that, make sure that you have the latest sys-patch as well. The error should go away. If not, try reinstalling the game with latest DBI or TinWoo Installer.

Hi before I start I only modded my switch a few days ago,
I am on version: 19.01 AMS 1.8.0 E

I have modded my switch and I installed tinfoil through the self installer from homebrew app store. I had no issues opening tinfoil and used it to download a few games. When I attempt to open the installed games, It checks if the software can be played and then an error message pops up saying: "Error code: 2155-8007 An error has occured, please try again later." I have the latest sig patches and sys patches yet the error still persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Hello lovely people,

I've used a hacked switch for years now but this morning i needed to update the switch firmware in order to load more games. I made a grave error which ill detail below, can anyone confirm if the switch is fixable by replacing the M92T36 Chip on a bricked switch?

Downloaded new hekate and atmosphere, loaded onto sd card root. Ejected, booted up the stock sys nand and added a new wifi network. Here's where i think i went wrong, after adding the network, i did not block the nintendo servers as im aware you should with a hacked switch, i then went to system, update firmware. I took my eyes off the switch at this point, returned 5 minutes later and it now wont connect to Tegra / RCm, its stuck on black screen. Hard reset flashes up the logo then disappears back to black screen.

Is it now doomed forever and where was my mistake that allowed this to happen?

Notes: i've updated firmware before with no issue but I must have done SOMETHING different this time.

Hoping someone here can advise if there is a potential fix for my stupidity????????

Additional note: There are repair companies near me that offer to fix bricked switches (but in the description of their service, it says to specifically fix switches bricked by using third party docking equipment after 5.x firmware update.

I have AutoRCM enabled
My battery is depleted

I know it takes ages of charge to be able to power on from this state, is putting it into the dock and leaving it for 24 hours okay? When I put the switch into the dock there is no charge light on the dock so i dont know if its working

Some things are not clear. You said you're aware you should block Nintendo's servers with a hacked Switch, but you updated the firmware from the system menu? How did you expect to update that way if Nintendo's servers had been blocked? Most people with a hacked Switch update with daybreak, and get their update files online from certain websites. If you have a Nand backup, now might be a good time to restore it.

I wouldn't use the dock, I would plug the Switch directly to the charger to get more juice. Several people offer several different methods to revive a dead battery. Search the topic on this forum.

Why not post your error reports here? If it's a text file, just copy/paste it. If you can't do that, a simple (clear) picture would work too. That would give a better idea of your problem to potential helpers here.

I had a switch lite I wasn't really using so I thought I'd have a go at installing a modchip on it. I've had some experience soldering before but nothing this tiny lol. Well something went wrong kinda like expected and I'm not sure if I'm able to get it functional again without successfully installing it (to be specific I think I connected point C to the pad it's supposed to go on and the pad below it which shorted them together. I read elsewhere that this would corrupt the emmc which would explain why it doesn't boot properly anymore)
Anyways what's happening right now is the three long pulse error code for glitch max attempts reached. I'm just wondering what my next steps should be from here.

I'm not an expert but:

Maybe? If the previous owner used emuNAND CFW and kept the sysNAND clean, then it's 100% to factory reset your sysNAND and create a new emuNAND after that. Otherwise, if they've used sysNAND CFW and installed pirated games on sysNAND, fiddled with the system files and alike then, I'd say that it's probably not a good idea to do that?

If your sysNAND is clean or, at the very least, the previous owner didn't mess up with the system files, it should be safe to factory reset. Whether you can figure out that or not, depends on whether the seller is willing to share that kind of info with you which usually isn't the case.

Personally, I'd just create a new user and remove the other users the previous owner created, remove the games you don't want, maybe even all of them and reinstall them by yourself and remove any wireless network settings. After that, I'd create a backup of the sysNAND, just in case something breaks in the future. (You can probably try a factory reset after a full NAND backup, but don't quote me on that.)

Once that is done, I'd create an emuNAND and do all the hacking on it and leave the sysNAND as clean as possible. if emuNAND ever breaks, you can always create a new one. sysNAND is a bit trickier, especially without a backup.

At the very least, there's RetroArch and as far as I know GBA roms should be playable. There's Nintendo Switch Online game app with some GBA titles as well (you'll need an account with either a valid or fake NNID linked - for that, you can use linkalho). It's definitely possible to play those games on TV.

Good luck with the jailbreak, I'd suggest that you check NH Switch Guide.
Additionally, for game backups I'd suggest you grab the latest sys-patch (optionally, get Tesla menu and nx-ovlloader as well). While I personally prefer sys-patch over sigpatches, the alternative is sigpatches. You don't need both at the same time.
For installing games, I'd suggest either latest DBI (658 is the latest English release) or TinWoo Installer.
Also, make sure that you block Nintendo servers even if you don't plan on connecting to the Internet.

I'm trying to send hekate for the first time, but it never boots after entering RCM. I have an unpatched V1 Switch, and have formatted the SD card to fat32.
Nothing happens when pressing a button after putting the sd card back in
