I just installed an HWFly Lite.. now I’m getting this led sequence while the switch boots to stock menu. Any idea what it means? I don’t know how to read that error code legend… ☹️ The color looks like Blue (an attempted glitch?) and then yellow (or white?) sequence of three ==*.

Tinfoil now works! however, none of my games work and I can't access the ones I recently installed, either. Still have no idea how to access them, since they're definitely still on my microsd. BUT in any case, my switch is functional again. I think I might just have to settle for being grateful for that, and try and continue troubleshooting....or just take the L and redownload everything and start fresh. Thanks for the tip @Blythe93 !
Glad to hear that it works again, too bad that your previous ones do not work anymore. Which error are you getting? Do they say that they need to be downloaded again?
Are you using the latest Atmosphere, Hekate and sigpatches? Are you on emuNAND or sysNAND?

Good morning! Is there a way to download any save data and use it as mine? With my ps5/ps4 I can do this using save wizard, but I have no ideia how i can do with my switch. I want a complete save with all the veggies and fruit of animal crossing.
That is only possible using homebrew which in turn requires a hacked console. Unless your console is unpatched, you're going to need to solder a modchip inside in order to hack it.

Hey guys can someone direct me to another post if there is one.

I am looking for a guide or a post that recommends and compares all the different types of hacks for the swiitch Oled. from my brief research i know theres products out there like mod chips or MIG switch/dumper. just want to know all the pros and cons of the different things out there.

My main uses would be to play my game backup files (have multiple switch games loaded on a sd card) , and play emulators/roms of old systems.

if someone can please recommend what is best for my needs or direct me to a place that can help, id greatly appreciate it :)

Mig switch is a flashcart for the nintendo switch that can that can store and load multiple backup of switch games. If you are looking for anything beyond that like homebrew/ emulator you need a modchip.

I need help with my oled switch booting up into an error. The error code is 2002-2629. I have to emphasize that it will not load into HOS since I keep getting this error. I researched it and it says that it has something to do with the game card reader. So I used an OEM replacement and still got the same issue. I tried resetting everything in maintenance mode with the same issue. I’ve done researching and can’t find anything forum with my specific issue. I would like a photo but my account is too new. I can confirm that the port is clean. I looked with my microscope for any bent pins or gunk. Any ideas. Thanks

You can use GUIFormat to format it to FAT32. As for allocation size, default is sufficient. Also you don't need an emuMMC but it does have a few uses. It can serve as a brick shield for any homebrew you are afraid might brick your sysMMC. And it can help prevent your sysMMC from being banned by only running CFW on emuMMC then keeping it offline as long as you never run CFW on sysMMC.
Thank you for this.

I nuked my bootloader folder or something trying to open keypick. Curious almost none of the written tutorials had me backup anything. Had to re-setup the SD card from scratch twice, as it got formatted FAT32 the first time.

I learned a lot or at least stuff started working a lot easier. Was finally finally finally able to install and launch the game I got this switch for

Found this video (/watch?v=6ob4olfQUPA) to be the best in my opinion but have switch hackers not discovered package management yet? Half the packages are on github but we are manually clicking at least 5 different download links and dragging folders around. Feels like 2006 era.

I can't really remember but I don't think that I ever nuked my files from SD card. Maybe during partitioning when making emuNAND, but I doubt (it's been a while, though). Which guide you were following?

Seems decent enough, but I'm not sure why didn't he follow NH Switch guide from start to finish instead of using HATS pack and just updating a thing or two there. HATS is fairly up-to-date these days, but there are some other packs like Deepsea and Kefir. Downside of those packs is that they come with more apps than you usually need.

That would be nice to have, indeed.

SDSetup was something like that, allowing you to pick which homebrew you wanted on your SD card. Sadly, it was discontinued recently and was unfortunately very outdated for a long time, considering how quickly things got updated in Switch hacking scene.

I want to try modding my switch, but idk if I can. I've been actively using my switch so I've kept the system up to date and idk if that would cause issues or not. I did check on ismyswitchpatched and my switch is XAW1007 so its not patched, but ima be real idk what that means. Does that mean its not patched out of the box or the hardware is exploitable?
Also im assuming all the save data on my switch will be lost if I do crack my switch right?
sorry if these questions have already been asked before, im really shit at looking for stuff.

Unpatched means yes it is exploitable, and no your game save data will stay intact when you mod the Switch.

I have an unmodded XAW1005 Switch on 16.1.0. I don't have a Switch Online subscription anymore, so I can't enter the settings page to disable automatic save game uploads. I can't access the eShop to buy a subscription because my console is not updated to 18.0.0.

My understanding is that it is almost essential to disable auto uploads before modding, right? Does it mean I should better wait for an 18.0.0 Atmosphere before modding my Switch? Or is there a ban-safe way to disable auto uploads after modding it?

Sorry if this question is somehow stupid. Thank you.

First time there's been a FW update since I've modded my Switch. Going to follow the rentry guide for updating with Daybreak and TegraExplorer. When I go to get TegraExplorer, the latest version was for support of 17.0. Does it still work on 18.0 or is there another method I should use to update emuMMC?

Ediit: Guess I can use AiO to get the update then Daybreak to install it. No need for TegraExplorer to dump it from sysMMC.

turn on airplane mode before your emummc creat, then use DNS.mitm + 90DNS block at the beginning, you should be safe and clean.
NVM if you are those sysmmc cfw person

But will I be able to turn it off later? I'm worried I'll not be able to use Switch Online functionalities on sysmmc anymore.

The reason to turn it on before creating emuMMC is so that emuMMC already has it on when you boot to it for the first time & doesn't connect to your wifi. As stated, you can turn it off in stock sysMMC and use the online features.
