When did Nintendo start patching the Switches? Just noticed on the back of mine it says Made In China 2019. I thought from seeing random comments online the RCM entry point had been patched in 2018?

The first Fusee Gelee patched units started appearing in June 2018. Yours is likely patched if it was manufactured in 2019.

Huh. That number is within the safe range. Sure is weird that a safe unit has 2019 on the backplate

Yeah I thought that too, especially after seeing many 2019 models in here were patched. I guess it's one of the final ones to slip through the cracks

So if my switch is in possibly patched range, but the ismyswitchpatched site says it's patched, and hekate says it exploitable to rcm bug, have I been using modded switch as ipatched the last 6 months, when it's not patched? Haven't yet tried to inject payload so don't know for sure.

5.1.0 is ancient . CFW will work fine on it as long as it isn’t FG patched, you could even update to 9.0.1 if you wanted.

Yours isn’t FG patched, you can tell by the serial. FG (Fusée Gelée) is the exploit most people use for hacking their Switches.

If you're not sure and can do pegascape, hekate tells you if you're patched in fuse info.

If it's on firmware 8.0.1 or below it may be able to partially run atmosphere in the future. If it's on 8.1.0 or above there's a decently large possibility that it'll never be hackable.
