Hacking Switch Informations by serial number - READ THE FIRST POST before asking questions

I just ordered a grey switch on Amazon. It shows me the serial which is a XAW1008, I'm guessing it's one of the patched ones. Going to have to return it as soon as I get it.

Is it XAW10800 or a number above 800?

Darn, still trying to find people who have an 800 (nothing over the number 800) that works. Feel like the initial thread said so but everyone with over an 800 said it was patched.

One was unpatched
The second one is waiting for a jig, and it's mine :-D

Nice! I went back through the thread and saw someone with a working XAW100804 and a XAW100821. If you saw a XAW100800 that was unpatched, and yours is unpatched, that's good news? Hoping for the best

Don't worry about it. Fusée works, and that's what counts! Don't update anymore, though!

Care to explain? What happen when smash Bros gets release this holiday season and it requires FW 5.1 to run?

By the way, what's the procedure for people that know their console is unpatched and waiting on an SXPro?

Should they update to 5.1.0 before their SXPro gets here? Not update at all? Does I'm a little confused and want to make sure I know the procedure.

You mean, if Smash requires higher firmware than what you have on your hacked console at the time? You can still update without burning fuses (meaning you can revert back to your previous firmware version) by following the lenghty procedure described in a well known thread here on this forum. Is it worth it to play Smash? It's up to you to decide. But really, if you're satisfied with the current hack (fusée gelée) and don't mind using it forever instead of future hacks, by all means, update normally. Fusée will never be patched on your console.

This one is a XAW1008121, which is why I feel like it'll be patched

Does Amazon allow you to send back items after opening? If so, test it out first because you might be in luck.

Fusée Gelée works: YES (i used biskey dump and my switch could display a QR code with blue corners also the command console showed the 0X7000 byte so it is safe to assume the console is not patched)

I believe this is the first neon XAW1008 console that is not patched to be reported here.

You bought it new? I have gamestop credit so I'm thinking of buying one there, but with Gamestop's shitty return policy, I don't want to be stuck with an unpatched one.
