More than likely nothing, but I downloaded Sonic Mania today and I noticed the Switch's home and power buttons delay by quite a bit and in some cases don't work at all. I was able to pull up the power options but still control everything in-game.

Again, probs nothing but I thought I might post it incase it's useful.

Welp... still waiting for the discovery of a stable Switch entrypoint.

Hi guys

I think it's late to upgrade to version 2.0 and have some xploit on my console. The question is, is there any way to upgrade to version 2.0, and if not, would it be safe to update the latest version of the Nintendo Switch ?, thinking about keeping me on the scene. I bought my Switch a few days ago and hoped it would not be too late.

You are on version 1.0.0?

You know we didn't get hello world until a year after the 3DS was released, a ROM loader until 2 and a stable entrypoint until 3, right?
Not to mention the Switch is more tightly secure. You'll probably be waiting much longer than it took the 3DS to be hacked.

Are u serious? It had never looked so good for 3DS that early in his livetime. The progress on hacking the switch is huge. These are no devices to compare.

3DS don't even has an emulator jet, whilst the Switch had one a few days after release.
Wut? What do you think Citra is? Also the Switch doesn't have an emulator. People are emulating the Wii U version of BoTW on Cemu.

Uhm, yea, i was about to edit this.

What i ment to say is, it took years for a 3DS emu to release. Switch got one after ~3 days.

Wut, that was only a wii u emu back then? I was quiet impressed for nothing xD

Anyways, im sure switch gets hackt way faster then the 3ds. If for nothing else, just because their is higher demand.
The things already archived are insane. Cant say that for early 3DS days.

How long it took for 3DS from EXPLOIT -> Backup Loading (aka Gateway or simlar) ? (After exploit discovered to converted)

And what language will be use for make homebrew? C++ like 3DS?
Depends on the toolchain cobbled together by the folks who get homebrew running the first place. Assume C++. No JIT in the Switch browser, so writing anything in JS will be slow as hell, so not really useful for anything other than data utilities. With C++ toolchain, porting LUA and a player for it would be a breeze, so expect that as well (might be my first project, though there's plenty of emulators I plan on porting just the same.)

Java will be a no go unless someone really feels like getting JVM up and running on it, but the amount of effort required there far exceeds the utility. Same goes for C#.

Any language built on the back of C++ is certainly possible but restrictive to interest in porting whatever jvm/msil/vm structure necessary to run the application.
