Hello,
I’ve got a Switch model MISP-NIN-HAC-001, which doesn’t boot or pull power from an official Nintendo charger. I’ve been following along with a [guide I found here](gbatemp.net/threads/ultimate-nintendo-switch-repair-guide-fix-any-issue-like-a-pro.644221/), and have found that almost all of the points on the PI3USB segment don’t measure as they should. I’m not familiar with what they should be or what a reasonable tolerance is, so am hoping that these indicate what is wrong:
What points should measure at : What they actually measure at
0.706 and 0.700 : 0.719 to 0.717
0.629 and 0.626 : 0.644
0.560 : 0.566
0.556 and 0.554 : 0.564
0.402 : 0.386
0.400 : starts at 0.443, lowers to 0.437
0.390 : outer pairs 0.411, inner pairs 0.399
0.360 : 0.409
0.336 : 0.286 left, 0.260 right
0.306 : 0.264 to 0.265
0.290 : 0.261
0.000 : 0.000
(Apologies for the broken formatting, I’ve done my best to make it legible)
Please note that I haven’t measured any other sections yet, and I’m currently waiting on a USB-C breakout board to test the port. Additionally, I have the equipment and ability to remove small smd parts.
Would anyone know if this indicates a specific failure, or further diagnosis steps?
