Hacking Switch games no longer work after clean install of Atmosphere!

So I've switched my brothers Switch from ReiNX to the latest Atmosphere + Hekate. Everything is working great with one exception, I can't seem to get it to play games, I get this error every time I insert a game:



Any help would be appreciated

Configure your BCT.ini to allow the game cartridge slot to be updated.

To be clear, you're disabling the nogc patch.

Configure it to what lol, I've never had to do that before. And where is the BCT.ini located?

If you're using fusee-primary, add nogc = 0 in BCT.ini. I think you can find a sample BCT.ini in the sample configs folder.

okay I found the BCT.ini file does it matter where I put the nogc = 0 in the BCT.ini or is there a specific place it needs to go?

It doesn't matter.

Okay cool, does it matter how I write or is there a string I have to use? I tried what you posted but it’s not working. Any chance you code post what your BTC.ini looks like?

Configure it to what lol, I've never had to do that before. And where is the BCT.ini located?

Atmosphere dosnt override config files anymore so your issue comes from hekate
change this

autonogc=1

to

autonogc=0

if you have

kip1patch=nogc

in your config delete it too

and as always its good idea to read on the stuff you want to use all that is on hekate github page

EDIT: in case you wonder its hekate.ipl.ini config file in bootloader folder

Thank you so much, you guys have been a huge help! Everything is now running perfectly. We just need to figure out what to use to replace the Tinfoil Shop since its not working any more and, figure out how to get my brother's switch unbanned.

If you guys know of a new shop that would be awesome, also, since he's been banned he can't update any of his games. Theres and update for Breath of the Wilds and he can't take it lol As always, any help would be welcomed and appreciated

Well, from what I understood about the Tinfoil Shop was that the team was taking it down because they couldn't keep managing it due to life -- or something like that. When ever either me or my brother would load up the tinfoil store last year to download a new game a pop would come up leting us know that they were no longer going to working on it or they needed funds or some crap like that lol. Sorry, its been awhile since I saw the pop up message. But, now he doesn't have a way to download games and namely update what he has due to the ban. Any ideas? is Tinfoil Shop working still? if so where can I go to fix his Tinfoil Shop?

You probably mean HBG just use another Shop that is still maintained.

IDK i rarely use Shops, i download all my Stuff on PC (Much faster & more Sources).

Search for JITS Shop or HBG Shop Alternative.
There are many Reddit Posts.

Tbh I didn't find alternatives to JITS. I just know that it is implemented in Tinfoil after installing but Tinfoil refuses to boot on AtmosphereNX. It forces me to delete stuff I'm not familiar with (because I softmodded my Switch one year ago but began using it in December '20 ).
