There are many people who hide this numbering. What is it like a serial of the console, identification number, identity of the machine like the MAC, or the console ID to connect to ONLINE on the nintendo servers?

What? Are you asking about what kind of ID is sent to Nintendo when you connect online?

Your console sends your unique console ID and certificate. Nintendo on their end with any of those 2 items can know the rest of the Switch info (Serial, MAC, where it was sold, etc).

You can't hide that info when connecting or you get banned.

From what I understand from the OP he is asking what information is being obscured by video and image uploaders?
@OP, the information being hidden is unique to the console and can range from MAC Address to Serial Number and the reason they are covering it is to stop Ninty from identifying which console is being used to demo the hacks/homebrew.

Better safe than sorry is all
