Spent some time reading up on this forum, and google, but so far I cant see any 100% answer. I can see you can buy new eMMC cards from ebay, but I have also seen they are locked to the motherboard?
I have a switch that boots straight in to RCM, I can send payloads etc, but when I try to check the eMMC, it will state that it cant see it (failed to init)
I dont care about the data on it (it was a cheap ebay unit) and wondered if its technically possible to replace the eMMC, and flash the OS etc back to a new drive? I also have spare eMMCs from other units, but I guess I cant use those?
If anyone could help or point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated
