Ok I'm using a 4.5 firm 3ds xl
and the last time I used my super card was about last year
So i just wanted to play hotel dusk
but every single time I turn on the game the touch screen doesn't work.

When I turn the dstwo on the touch screen works fine
but when I open a nds game(every single game)
the game opens fine but the touch screen doesn't work at all..
does anyone else have this problem??

using the 3ds xl I have reduced sensibility on the plugins menu.. I didn't played hotel dusk, some games the touch works flawless, on others not as well..

this problem mostly liked is because the diferent screen size and resolution compared to an original ds..

there is a way you can make it better and hopefully fix, before opening the dstwo card on the 3ds menu, HOLD start OR select, so the screen will have the same size as an original DS\lite... this really helps.. but you will have to learn to ignore the borders, at least the picture gets really sharp (while the upscaled is kinda blured and horrible on some games)

Nope... still doesn't work.//
but i found out something while trying with
touch detective.

When I booted the game
I could see that the touch screen wasn't the problem
no matter where I touch on the screen
the pointer is fixed on the top-left corner.
What should I do???

my 3ds had to go to warranty because of a problem like that.. the touchscreen get stuck on top left corner.. but this was a problem that i couldn't even make it work on 3ds menu... (couldn't even go to calibrate.. had to replace the touchscreen)

did you try to recalibrate the screen on 3ds settings?

    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
