It's got good compatibility for DS games, but it's not very good for GBA games. So if he's just going to use it in his GBA SP I'd suggest a different cart.

The SuperCard series in general has pretty poor GBA compatibility. Read some of the reviews on the main site to find a card which has solid GBA support.

EZ flash is a great series of carts for GBA, the only thing I don't like about them is they use a rechargeable battery that will eventually die. I don't know for sure, but M3 is supposed to have awesome GBA compatibility. Supercard's GBA compatiblity is good for me though, every game I've tried runs. Some games have slight slowdown though. It just depends how much you want to spend I guess.

supercard are you nuts ? !

GO with the R4 DS !!!!!!!!!!!! or M3 simply for Nintendo DS games

but it has no support for gba

I haven't personally tried, but I got no clue where to stick the R4 into my SP.
And since it doesn't support GBA, why would I even bother?
