It would be a tight fight for first place between this and the M3 Reali, since neither is actually released yet, we'll find out later on.
As for what Minor_IX said about TC, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. It started out as speculation about TC and their move with the DSi, then at one point, people just started thinking it as a fact that TC is waiting for full DSi capabilities. TC has really dropped the ball lately, I'm rather disappointed actually, since I was probably one of the first to say that the CycloDS Evolution is the best. Now, I'm not so sure, with carts like the M3 Real gaining momentum and even budget carts are beginning to have some of the advanced features, it seems that TC has to do something more to defend their position at the top.
Yeah...you're definitely right on this one
I had some high hopes for a while, but TC doesn't respond to ANYTHING. People claim this and that...but I'm dissapointed and I don't think TC can do much to earn the high respect I had for them short of releasing a DSi cartridge that blows everything away.`
QUOTE(PharaohsVizier @ May 9 2009, 10:59 PM) I meant first place, and here's is my reasoning. I know that there are different tastes among different people, and it is still a matter of preference in the end but:
The AceKard 2i is a budget cart. For what it does it does well. In retrospect, you could say that it is the best cart because it gives you the best value. Asides from that, it features a slick menu, and a great team. Other than that, the features it offers are nothing mind blowing. It is something cheap and easy to use, nothing more.
The M3 Reali and Supercard DS ONEi is better in that they offer more features. The two carts have different approaches to that, but it is undeniable that they both offer loads more than the AceKard 2i.
If you are looking for ease of use, the M3 Reali's menu is just as good as the AceKard 2i (guess it is again a matter of preference), and it offers more features.
On the other hand, the Supercard DS ONEi offers even more features, but it is HARD TO USE. I think M3 Reali and Supercard DS ONEi are fairly close for first place not from my view, but that they try to appeal to different users.
M3 Reali is a balance of ease of use and features whereas the Supercard DS ONE tries to cram features in without a great menu.
The Supercard's advantages include the cool USB thing, RTG, manual save sizes, a huge amount of saves for multisaves, etc. It may not compete with the M3 Reali in terms of ease of use, but it tries to offer people other things to make up for it.
Uggg that is a pretty disorganized post, o well...
