Hey everyone - looking for some solutions here.
I haven't use the EZ Flash IV in a while, so I decided to update the firmware from a v1.7x to the latest which would've been v2.05. After following the steps and holding down R, there were times where it would hang at the updating screen, sometimes would go into a black screen, and on my final attempt holding down R again on the SP and now it goes to a white screen. After that I tried once more and putting the cart into the GBA SP, now kills the power instantly. No boot.
I even tried using my FlashGBX, it doesn't even detect the cart type, however I am able to back it up.
What are my options? Is this cart dead? Should I even bother recovering it?
Would've been nice to have another flash cart handy, but oh well. Not the end of the world if I can't use it.
Tl;dr

- EZ-Flash IV hardware revision 1.7x
- Failed firmware flash via SD card, stuck at writing0%
- Cart now kills SP on insertion
- FlashGBX v4.6 can read/backup successfully but throws "no compatible profile" on write
- ROM checksum reads as 0x59450445
- Data loop detected at 0x4000
