Hacking Supercard DSOne question

Hey people!

My friend still has an old Supercard DSOne for his DS lite and he have problems running games that came out recently,for example: Golden Sun, Plants VS Zombies and stuff like those.

The question is,where could we update his OS since on the official supercard site,the last DSOne update was on (2009.06.08).Could we put the DSOne Evo firmware on it too or is that a different type of flashcart?

There is a DSONE Evo UI...it came out before the DSTWO...
