Since forever ago. I certainly hope that this project isn't dead, I emailed him for the source code if it was just in case lol, he didn't replied so I assume it's still going on since he's gone and come back from 5 month+ hiatuses before.

This is homebrew, this isn't an official Nintendo release. If you guys are so adamant about making it a pure Nintendo based Game, you guys could get coding! The fact that the Dev put time to making this should be enough for you guys to appreciate this.
