you'll probably have to use h-encore in order to get those games functional again. you'll need vita shell for that. you may need an account id as well, but I'm not really sure. to get one you'll need to sign in to psn. I think qcma requires this or else the account id would be blank.

btw, sorry I couldn't be of a better help. I'm just mentioning what I've done and whether or not it worked. btw, you need the nonpdrm plugin for those games to work if that's the problem. I assume you deleted it in order to update?

I guess H-encore can not be all bad. I also turned off firmware spoofing and can access psn without update system prompt. But I believe if I can just get the uninstaller bubble for enso 3.65 i may be ok. I am willing to take that risk if someone knows the appid if there is one or if they can just send it to me. Nut sure what the uninstaller is called in the APP folder

yep thats why the games are not working, the nonpdrm nice catch

well, that shows that the system won't format the memory card if you do a system restore. I actually deleted my entire memory card after getting molecular shell. it never said "formatting." it just took a couple seconds longer to boot up. then, all folders and files were there. ensou may be mlc or something to that effect. I think molecular shell is at least, so maybe they used the same naming mechanic? this is just a guess though.

Recently updated my 3.60 henkaku enso to 3.65, required me to uninstall enso before updating to vanilla 3.65, then apply H-encore before reinstalling enso through that.
All went perfectly thanks to http://vita.hacks.guide
I’d say 3.65 is the golden firmware right now, still having access to enso, as well as have access to h-encore, while being able to download from psn (without a patch/plugin), and play 3.65 games.
Spoofing for games requiring higher firmware is also coming up.
I’d recommend staying on 3.65 because coldboot exploits are rare and should be cherished.

(Blue Reflection - Partial English Patch, will restart or undue the h-encore mod when run, probably a bunch of other games that use mod/translation patches too on 3.68, you can at least dump your purchased games from psn, for now that is)

(the "oclockvita.suprx", just adding the plugin, not using any options or anything, is necessary on 3.60/3.65, it seems to bring the speed up to the retail unmodded consoles on some titles, like "Day D Tower Rush", "Iron Sea Defenders", "Field Runners 2", you can see the title screen graphics speed up to normal, and ingame ........................this may not be required on 3.68, that would make the 3.68 firmware the GOLDEN Firmware, but I just was so concerned with getting everything working, and weather or not i should just COPY/PASTE the contents of my 64 gig card to a 128 gig card and just upgrade, or just use 64 gig, since, upgrading a card is easier on 3.68 firmware, since everything can be copied, where as depending on the vita and FTP, (since 3.68 uses ux0 drive only), every file cannot be copied from the vita, via ftp, versus card (however, you can try, as the folder are populated, then just copy ux0 and whatever from ur0, etc.)

(3.60, the OLD METHOD was to, use "vitaRW.vpk" and remove the FEATURE PAGE, then run henkaku enso UNINSTALLER, then try to reinstall henkaku enso from the .vpk and it will prompt you to reinstall 3.60 firmware first, that is how you reinstall the firmware from 3.60............................IF.............you try to use the henkaku spoofing option with henkaku installed, to lower your firmware to 3.55 for example, and then just reinstall 3.60 firmware, without uninstalling henkaku enso, your vita will brick, it will brick when you try to run the uninstaller at reboot, if you eventually want to UPGRADE)

(The FIRMWARE on a RETROPIE isn't flashed to memory it is just read from memory CARD, that is the difference with the VITA, apparently apart of the firmware, and enso is flashed to memory not just read from the memory card.......................that is what causes the BRICK, from the henkaku website, that it claims, that, is at least the best I can make of it.......................3.68 HENKAKU is worth it totally if you decide to ditch 3.65 firmware, it is much more stable, since EVERYTHING IS READ FROM THE MEMORY CARD, this time around!..........................The Only REason I have Tw0-zero, vita with 3.65 is for the patches/mods in addition to, future, anything, that would have problem not using the values that are changed, read from different places in 3.68............................I have on on 3.68 with 64gig, totally worth it, but I don't think, to justify higher size card memory)

(so far the RETROPIE has trolled the vita's last few updates with henkaku, with a serious of major upgrades, to its operating system, and specific emulators.....................who'kn owel"s" what is next, gona on a emulator update raid!.....................I haven't expanded to KODI or multi boot with the pie so things may have escaped me!!!!!)

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.

never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
Karma177 @ Karma177: @The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really...
