Gaming Strange Journey - Stupid Question.

I'm in the early mission (Rescue Jiminez) And after dying for about the millionth time, something occurred to me. I'm supposed to train to get near the boss' level aren't I? The problem is, there is not a single monster out there. None. Is this game like Pokemon where I just blindly walk around until monsters attack me, or do I have to do something in particular to get them to come to me?

Yep - random battles. You probably would have answered your own question if you had just taken a few steps xD! From a quick google search, it seems that antipiracy disables random battles, thus rendering the game unplayable without cheating, though. Probably been fixed a long time ago. Update your card's firmware or get a patch.

I didn't need to patch anything, it ran just fine for me.
However, I have an Acekard 2i. What card do you have?
Try redownloading the ROM again, but a different version.
A last resort would be to delete your save file and start again, but I can't imagine that being the solution.

Okay, that helps! =] Are you running the official Acekard 2 firmware, or Akaio? Do you know what version you are using, or, when was the last time you updated the firmware?

If you aren't already using Akaio, I strongly recommend switching to it, it has a very high compatibility ratio. I also wasn't aware that Shin Megami Tensei actually had any anti-piracy, maybe you downloaded an early dump of the game? Try downloading the Bahamut release, it seems to work for most people.
