All the steps for the three installations were the same. It's quite hard to screw up QR Code installs from FBI but on the last one (previous 2 were n3ds XL, last one is just an n3ds), it gives me this error. I can't figure out which step is wrong since I'm doing the same thing, visiting the same sites for the codes. I'm not sure if it has something to do with a9lh or bootstrap 9...

The first one i used this on was on a9lh, the second one was on a9lh when i installed it, then i went to bootstrap9 after). The third one was on bootstrap9 already when i installed freeshop...

The first 2 were on the latest update when i started. The last one was on 11.1 firmware when i went to bootstrap9, then i updated FW, updated luma too afterwards, i still get this error.

I already tried formatting the card, reinstalling multiple times from the same source, used the cia version, used the fork version (which i just learned is the more updated one...). Nothing seems to be working.

CIAngel works fine though...

I got that same thing

Dang... Is it some hardware difference between the XL and the non XL unit? My device and the non XL are both on bootstrap9 and with luma3ds at 8.0. Every step was the same...

I don't think so, even before I had Luma 8.0 I didn't get that error but it always rebooted itself when I tried to download a game

I tried it with the new luma and the exception handler option ticked... Now freeshop crashes and goes back directly to the home screen without the error i posted.

Same for me, except I see the Nintendo error message and it automatically reboots.

Nothing to do but wait for it to get worked out.

Ditto

Guess I'll have to stick with CIAngel... The only difference from the 3 installs that could matter is the XL vs non XL

Unfortunately CIAngel isn't updated and doesn't have recent games, either that or I'm not using it well enough lol

Got freeshop to work using a Legacy Build of Luma3ds 7.1. Thanks for the input everyone. Problem solved. Thought i was a freeshop thing since I was using the discontinued version
