i dont know what everyones complaining about. i think Cyclo is the Best flashcart you can get.

-its the only cart with DSi mode, unless you count sudokuhax which isnt really an option anymore.

-Battery Life!, the supercard has the worst battery life of any card due to its extra ram. but Cyclo is better, it even has a "battery saver" mode.

-it has the best build quality of any cart. and it uses screws to hold it together unlike other carts which just have flimzy plastic tabs.

-it has NON-Spring loaded microsd slot, so no more playing "find the SD", after the MicroSD flicks out across the room and goes under a table.

-it has an absolutely beautiful menu system, straight to the games (no going through 2 menus like the supercard). And it displays a proper file list with small icons like a normal file manager, something that "stupidcard" cant seem to get right.

-it has EZ-flash 3in1 extra ram pack support, so you just put GBA games on the Cyclo and run em. no fiddling around with extra software. the supercard requires you to use a crappy emulator, ask yourself, how would you rather play GBA game? on REAL hardware, with REAL sound, and at REAL framerate, or with a crappy Emulator thats not even close to the real thing.

-it lets you customize the command prompt buttons, (which key combination brings up the menu)

-it has built in cheat code database for older games. and getting new cheats is a breeze with the "ds scene rom tool"

-it automatically places the menu software on the microsd for you, no hunting for the right software the first time you use it, it works on a blank microSD card

-and personally i like the Old Cheat Prompt, sometimes i accidentally click on a game and want to go back.

-it has all the features you could think of, savestates, slowmotion, copy paste, bookmarks, it just does everything straight out of the tin.

newer anti piracy isnt really a problem if you patch the game yourself with DSbuff. as for DSi firmware, 1.you should have bought a DS Lite instead of a DSi. and 2. you shouldn't have updated your firmware. and if you do have a high firmware bring your DSi back to walmart and get a new one. most of the old stock is 1.4.1, its extremly rare to get above 1.4.3, and even if it is 1.4.3, you can still use it with Acekard 2i, another great cart., but still a no-update DS Lite is the best option.

support? support means nothing, they allready produced a great cart with every feature you could think of, the rest is up to you. you cant honestly expect any team to stick around forever do you?.they allready provided many years of great service and revolutionized the scene so much that other flashcart teams are only now scrambling to copy the features Cyclo had from day 1.

Supercard has in-game menu means you can activate cheats while in-game, Supercard DOES support EZ Flash 3 in 1 (Who told you that you can only play GBA on Supercard through emulation only?) and you can copy the GBA game straight to EZ Flash 3 in 1 and run it directly.

Also Supercard has got anti piracy by hardware means you don't need to screw the rom and patch it, you can use clean dumps.
Also Supercard gets constant updates after a 3DS firmware is newly released.
Also Supercard works on a DSi (any firmware) so you don't have to buy a DS Lite to use Supercard.

    You were saying?

In my opinion if it was still supported, it would be the best card on the market. However they dropped support and so it is no better than for example the original R4 or even the newer M3 cards.

1 - Yeah, too bad DSi-mode doesn't let you use wifi.

2 - The bad battery life only comes into play in sleep mode and when using the CPU for the emulation.

3 - The DSTwo uses a screw. You'd know that if you'd ever so much as used one.

    4 - Personal preference.

5 - If you don't like the DSTwo's setup, you can just replace it with an alternative.

6 - No, you're not required to use an emulator, you can use an expansion pack with the DSTwo. In addition, emulation gives you cheat toggling, save states, screenshots, rewind, and other things you don't get with a slot-2.

7 - So does the DSTwo. You can customize the shortcut keys for both in-game menus (simple and normal) to any combination of the DS's buttons. You'd know that if you'd ever so much as used one.

8 - So does the DSTwo... it used usrcheat.dat, which the ROM tool gets, and you can download elsewhere... and it's the same database the R4i Gold uses, the Ak2i uses, etc. It's THE standard cheat database, and the DSTwo uses it the same way other carts do. You'd know that if you'd ever so much as used one.

    9 - lolwut?

10 - What do you mean?

11 - Er, so does the DSTwo.

    Christ, somebody's insecure...

its funny how when a team is present the cart is amazing, but when its time for the team to leave suddenly the card is Sh**. maybe you think a team has nothing better to do than spend their entire life cratering to your every whim, but the reality is once the bugs are worked out there really no reason for them to keep supporting a dying dinosaur system. maybe they are working on a 3DS flashcart.

why hasn't M3 updated their GBA line for SCHC support?
why hasn't the supercard updated their GBA flashcarts?
why hasn't BUNG updated the SNES game doctor?

when a systems time is up, its time to move on. the DS's life just went longer than anybody expected. we got the expected amount of support and more. we cant complain.

(One day) the card is great, (two weeks later).... oh the card is crap.

its the exact same cart people! nothing has changed!

-i clicked on a GBA game in Supercard DS2, it did nothing!, it dosent work. it shouldent be that complicated.
-Cyclo recognized the GBA game and ran it, case closed.
-patched roms work exactly the same.
    -dont update your firmware
    -again, dont update your firmware!

    1. was talking about homebrew, i dont think any homebrew uses both WiFi and DSi mode.

    2. possibly

    3. youre right, supercard does have a screw. i was thinking of the R4.

    4. the spring loaded Sd is a deal breaker for me. its a foolish design seeing as you cant remove a Microsd while the cart is inside the DS anyway. and it just causes problems.

    5. changing the skin dosent solve the problem of SCDSTwo taking you to a useless menu first, before you get to a second menu with the actual games.

its like the health and safety warning all over again. you have to click 50 times just to get a game started.

    6. how? please tell me how. because the cyclo just ran GBA automatically.
also i dont cheat in games, it defeats the purpose. and is unnecessary.

    7. yes true. but this is a comparison of all carts, not a rag on supercard specifically. i can put up with akaio or wood's lack of features because its a better overall experience.

    8. the firmware i downloaded dident have the cheat database included. also the cheat editor team cyclo put out is amazing. im still trying to find supercard's cheat editor.

    9. not much to explain, when you put an empty MicroSD into a Cyclo DS, it creates a Cyclo folder with all the needed files. the Supercard just says: "missing files" error message.

    10. accidentally click on a game, and cyclo asks you if you want to enable cheats. you can press B cancel back to the menu no problem. its a nice feature that acts like a confirmation menu.

    11. again this isn't a supercard rage fest, just pointing out that Cyclo has all the features of the other carts, and works if you dont update the firmware.

my personal opinion is that a nice, visually appealing, streamlined menu system, is worth more that anything DSi Ware or eShop has to offer.

i also have a PSP for emulation with GPSP Kai. it runs full speed perfect sound 100% compatibiliy, and even has TV-Out. (and supports cheats and savestates of course). in fact every device sports a GBA emulator these days, and none require an extra cartridge with overly expensive ram chip.

My R4i Gold 3DS doesn't have a spring-loaded SD slot... and it's the second most popular card due to it's pricing and support. Build quality is questionable, sure... but it works for the price, just won't update worth a damn...

Obviously it didn't work, you need to run it through an emulator. I'm sorry it "shouldn't be so complicated," but it's really... not that complicated. Choose GBA, choose a game, that's it.

And also, if you have a 3DS, Supercard's your only option for playing GBA games unless you're an ambassador. (Unless something else came out... I haven't really been following things)

Right now, all we know about 3DS flash carts are the breakthroughs the Gateway has made, which will be available soon. You seem to be missing something huge here though - "once the bugs are worked"? "dinosaur system?" Sure, DS gaming is 9 years old, but our emulation (while still somewhat crappy) has come a LONG way since then. With no unofficial 3DS support available until Gateway is released, people turn to DS for portable gaming or PSP's CFW (or both) depending on preference. The other thing is that DS emulation on the 3DS isn't perfect. As Nintendo patches things in their firmware and release updates, carts do get blocked. People are still using these carts, because, as I said, it's the best we can do at the moment for Nintendo handhelds. If Nintendo stopped releasing firmware/stopped supporting the DS, I would be inclined to agree. But they have not, so I cannot. Remember, DS carts are still backwards compatible in slot-1. They are also still sold in major retailers such as Walmart and Target.

Teams come and go, there's nothing we can do about this. M3 is dead, for all I know. Supercard's pride and joy is the DSTwo. Since they are no longer producing GBA carts (to my knowledge, other stores just have them in stock still) and since all GBA hardware has ceased official production, Supercard focuses on their DSTwo which IS STILL FOR SALE. It's their best technology at the moment. That's like saying, "Why doesn't Microsoft make better computers with Windows 98?" It's past technology.

Some people don't like to move on. They enjoy playing their New Super Mario Bros. or Pokemon Diamond. I find this ironic considering you're asking why old tech hasn't been updated. Nintendo still supports DS. There's no reason to just get up and abandon it completely.

Not the Supercard DSTwo. From the day it was released, it has never needed a hardware revision - and it just keeps getting better, leaving other carts in the dust.

Nintendo firmware has changed. >.> I said before that flash carts get blocked. People who are not on flash cart staff typically don't work on flash updates. It's the team that gets the job done. Supercard has stood by the DSTwo since release - and it has proven that they are a trustworthy team.

It'll work if you use GBAExploder to load GBA Rom into 3in1. Take some time to do some homeworks.

Asking people to not update firmware is asking them not to buy games from online store, not going to happen.

Isn't the DSTwo the best flashcart? Based on everything I've ever read, it seems like the superior choice when it comes to DS flashcarts. I've read about cyclo (I don't have a DS flashcart), and based on everything I've read and seen, if I were to get a flashcart, I'd go with the DSTwo, unless I'm just missing something.

Yeah. It's really the only good option at this point. Soon new gen hardware will come out though

Cyclo was an old cart which is clearly no longer supported. At this time, DSTwo does blow everything out of the water. It's worth the extra money to get a DSTwo over an R4. The previous R4 chip required opening up the casing and cutting a signal line on the cart itself in order to get it working with the latest update. DSTwo has never had hardware issues, and they are always quick to come up with a fix if the cart gets blocked!

Also note that if you are on Firmware 6 and update to 6.1 on the 3DS, you will not be blocked on Supercard DSTwo! :)

no no my good sir, DSTWO IS the best flashcard out there.

Look at the thread you started here thanks to your CycloDS fanboy-ish reasons, I have a DSTT but you don't see me praying it like a god (even though it runs every game), I'm still aiming towards DSTWO, the best DS flashcard alive yet.
