Hacking StartPatch4.1

SP 4.1 PAL problem report:
No Copy 3/5 Can't install.

Which makes the Saves copy to the SD card show as ? marks..

Please, fix. ehe

When i try remove nocopy protection it's patch 4/5 that isn't in the DOL.

A few questions to clarify:

1) Does this let you play backups through the Disc Channel, without the need of NeoGamma or GC Backup launcher 0.2?

2) Is this fully compatible with FW 4.1 or not (hear people saying it's shaky)?

3) Can it be uninstalled after a complete installation, without problems?

4) Is this a reasonable substitute for cIOSCORP v2 and Preloader 0.29 (without backup capabilities)?

Any help appreciated, even just saying yes or no to each one.

1) No.

2) Short off... No Copy isn't working to well with StartPatch installing... works with Preloader though.

3) Re install the system menu.

4) No... at least... not yet.

You do NOT have to reinstall the system menu to remove StartPatch. Simply re-launch th estartpatch app and remove the installed patches. Easier and *safer*.

Yeah lol I recently realized that, I didn't even have to install StartPatch.

Only thing I could really suggest are a few more options and a ticker to show what's already been installed (to help uninstall).

Why are there "No Copy Flag" 1/5, 2/5, 3/5...? Should I apply only one of them, all, or a special combination? How would I know?

I've been trying to find out this for a long time but never got a straight answer...

I believe they are all parts of a whole. Install them one at a time (in order), from 1 to 5.

Yeah... i did this and it's the right!!

My Wii is 4.1U, give the StartPatch 4.1, apply some patchs and it's work!!

No. It's like Starfall in that it directly patches the System Menu.

I'm also curious if you can add the "remove background music" patch to StartPatch4.1. This is the only reason I like preloader is it has a no BGM music hack, but I'd really like to ditch preloader in favor of your StartPatch app.

Well... it's there! I actually have it enabled (no BGM)!

firmware updaters via games have appeared again :-/

Installed all parameters of Startpatch 4.1 US , there was just only one that I've not installed (forgotten which one because I didn't want it).
Every back ups work without any problem of update asking.

Well... it's there! I actually have it enabled (no BGM)!

Ahhh so it is, I didn't notice it listed in the readme though which is why I asked. Anyways I just finished removing all traces of preloader and installed StartPatch4.1 Thanks again aqualino for an excellent alternative to preloader. Cheers!

Well, that was problem with the file size. Japanese and European system menu versions of StartPatch will get error '-4'. No solutions to fix that error. The NTSC-U system menu version of StartPatch always work fine.
