oh dear lord this must be the hundreth time ive said this i had the most up to date firmware, ive played super mario galaxy, i had updated online my firmware was 3.1e before i started all this super smash bros brawl stuff and my wiikey has been updated to 1.9g. The update only adds two new channels, everything else works just like a normal nintendo wii. The update only adds dual layer support, its not a major update so it does nwot semi brick any nintendo wiis.

With an NTSC-U Wii, firmware 3.1U, and a Wiikey 1.9g, I did the update, but when I try playing the game, I get the Error #001, unauthorized device error. Other people with the same setup as I have reported that they had no problems. Are there any things that need to be set in Wiikey config? I have the region override as on. Does anything need to be done to the disc before burning it? Thanks in advance.

Just dual channels. I can access the options menu and everything else without a problem.

Just normally. I've tried taking the disc out and putting it back in again many many times

i can confirm this =)
it worked on my ntsc (U) wii with the latest wiikey update

so lets get this straight the only things you can do on this SL disk is
-Vs mode
-Event mode
-wifi mode
-Break targets

so its basically anything that doesnt require video
right?

can you be more specific with that?
Does ( blank) work:
Target test?
Wifi?
Stage builder?
Certain stages?
Any other means of obtaining caracters that are available to unlock in classic or adventure mode?

just go to the wii settings menu and click on update!!!
it will find the latest updates and update them!!
