Wow, that really sucks. The Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series are my favourite series of games. I really hope that the next games will be better, so until then I will just play Guild Wars!

Going to be honest with you, they both really kinda suck. I do prefer X, but it's still not that good.

Why not? XIII is different but I'm really enjoying the battle system and the story/characters aren't nearly as cliched as X.

EDIT: The only good things to come out of X are Jecht (whose a bad ass and his constant insults of Tidus make him #1 on my list), Auron (also a total bad ass, how could he miss the cut for Dissidia?) and Yuna (who I don't like at all but she's good in Dissidia 012).

I personally found them both equally boring. Never touched them again after ten hours. I think FFXII is the only one I haven't given up on since FFVII. Then again, I never finished FFXII either. I still have my actual copy of FFVII now that I think about it. From then on they've been about the same damn thing in each game. "I love you, (Insert heroine here)", "Oh, gotta go kill this boss with mah summon. But I'll be back to love on you some more for the next couple of hours, babeh." FFXIII was just... boring and the story was waaay too linear. There's more love cutscenes than battles.
Sucks Squeenie is so resistant to change. They definitely need it.
