Has this guide allowed you to successfully install Octohax?

  • Yes

  • No (If you choose this, please post errors, your process, etc.)

Possibly.. But for now I think Hidden Gear is besides us, many would want to focus on other things as of now.
Especially with the 2.8 update coming out soon..

Any help here? I don't know what to do, I can't use splathax either, I have tcpgecko hooked up onto my wii u, but I can't do anything here.

Edit (I know, immediately, but I forgot something): I haven't checked out most of the post, so I don't know if anyone else has ran into this.

I have, multiple times when trying to run OctoHax.
I just simply double-check my IP, and I sometimes end up restarting the process, which works!

Restarting the process? Like running TCPgecko again? I've done it before and that doesn't work. I have a set IP address on my wii u so it doesn't change, and also I have it written down on a sticky note so I can use for later purposes when hacking.

By the "process" I mean restarting my Wii U ( also unplugging it to avoid any bricks ), going BACK to the loadiine.ovh site and starting back from there.

Ah, okay let me try that and tell the results.

Edit: Thank you! It worked!

I don't think stuff like that can brick your console, only stuff that messes with the NAND/Cafe OS could brick it.

It actually can from my experience, sometimes I run the loadiine.ovh and select to run TCPGecko and it crashes, just leaving it on one screen, causing my system to brick until I unplug my Wii U and re-plug it.

Oh, I thought you meant "brick" as in the console would not turn on no matter what you did, and also, what's gonna change in 2.8, since you said it was coming out in 2 days?

Since new data values are being added then the addresses are going to be suited up/down

@SuperAce20 I'm curious now, does she told you what part exactely needs to be updated? I usually lurk around here for getting updated about stuff and such, but maybe a special post has escaped my vigilence.
