The Switch hasn't been hacked in 7 years, they've learned from their mistakes.Yeah I remember people saying the same thing back in 2016 here in this very same forum and we all know how it ended up.

Then why did you buy it in the first place? So if you buy a game console, and it does not have a softmod available to pirate games, you must sell it?The lack of a softmod is why we had to sell our Xbox 360
We initially bought it when it was a lot more popular and before the XBONE was released. Then why did you buy it in the first place? So if you buy a game console, and it does not have a softmod available to pirate games, you must sell it?
Tip: Learn to solder. Xbox360 RGH3 mod only takes soldering a few wires.

FTFYMuch like with all nintendo consoles, there is a high probability of an exploit being found. Whether or not it is publicly shared is an entirely different question.

Technically, yes... but people were deadset on the Switch refresh being unhackable, so I specifically chose that as a point of reference. Everything is hackable.FTFY

Well, unfortunately, if you're going to play games that aren't tied to the console, and that they are downloaded off the internet, you're still going to need an RGH'd/JTAG'd Xbox 360. Or, you could ask somebody to do it for you. @DinohScene does modding services if you need his help.We initially bought it when it was a lot more popular and before the XBONE was released.
Now, the online game store for it is shut down permanently and there are not that many places that sell 360 discs anymore.

I think I'll get two of themI wonder how many people will buy one and keep it boxed on v1.0 only to be opened when it's exploitable. I know at least one person that will do that...
The same can be said for Nintendo.Determined humans can be resourceful. Who would ever have thought that a mere paperclip would defeat the security on the V1 Switch or a battery (Pandora) could hack the PSP or that overloading a game save (Twilight Princess) would open up the Wii? There are some among us that are smarter than the ones who get paid to design the security.
I just want game cheats. If that could be implemented without the need of actually modding the system, I’d be cool with that. (Code Junkies/Gameshark anyone?)
EXACTLY what I am doing! Well, I might pull it out once, I GOTTA play some Mario Kart 9, but other than that, I still have a Switch, Wii U, Wii, and 3DS that I continue playing and that still have games available that I have not personally played. I am also betting there will be price increases on games, so there's that. I am a 16 year old who works at McDonalds. If I can earn roughly $1,000 in a month (this one) and $1,000 next month, then buying a $400 console won't seem super horrible, especially if I let my family play it for a bit. I am saving up for a car, after all, but my dad is helping me a good amount financially. Once I can preorder, you know damn well, I'm gonna stand on business.I wonder how many people will buy one and keep it boxed on v1.0 only to be opened when it's exploitable. I know at least one person that will do that...
More so than sony?it'll probably be just as easy as the last few consoles, nintendo is extremely behind on security.
eh? isn't it that hacking/jailbreaking modern sony devices is practically impossible? (unless you stay on old firmware)More so than sony?
PSN was assaulted again not because they are super professional.eh? isn't it that hacking/jailbreaking modern sony devices is practically impossible? (unless you stay on old firmware)
There hasn't been a Switch exploit since 2018 and that was NVIDIA's fault not Nintendo'sit'll probably be just as easy as the last few consoles, nintendo is extremely behind on security.
