Connect usb c to USB c between the ports and hold down b button on the joycon. Boom rcm ;p

I believe you may have missed the step where you put a piece of tinfoil on only half of the IR/optic sensor so it forces the console to enter maintenance mode to diagnose the issue which just so happens to give the joycon full kernel access wackly enough.

yeah and also tegrarcmgui and the cheap rcmloaders from aliexpress don't work, you have to code a brand new injection tool specifically for switch 2. also we should rewrite a bootloader from the ground up and i'm calling it heka²

And now for the best part: HOMEBREW!
we just have to write something that lets you run switch 1 homebrew, and not do anything for the switch 2.
It's the wii u all over again!!!1!

Since it also uses the same game carts, wouldn't the MIG still work and possibly the dumper could get the backups?

Much like with the Switch 1, there is a high probability of an exploit being found. Whether or not it is publicly shared is an entirely different question. Safe money is on a mod chip.

I said this in 2017 as well, but nothing is unhackable. Much less unmoddable. It depends on the willpower of those who are capable.
I'd bet money someone is sitting on a Switch exploit right now. We might see it released once the Switch goes EoL.

I highly doubt it, and if anybody would know, it would be SciresM.

That's exactly why the Switch 2 will be unbreakable.

RCM might be very hard to enter due to the rail not being a thing anymore.
Modchips and R4 surely will be patched.
Software is already bug-free.

I think this is it, folks.

I mean there's still the web browser for WiFi portals. There's any number of games that might have a useable exploit. We may not get a kernel exploit but I wouldn't be surprised if someone has basic userland homebrew working.

I think eventually modchips will come, but I'd bet new Switch2 motherboard has hidden most of the common connections needed for modchips (CLK, CMD, DAT0, RST, CPU) so it may take awhile. It's always a cat and mouse game.

If modchips are going to come, we will have to wait a while. Maybe 2 to 3 years?

Unless he does know and he is (one of) the one(s) sitting on the exploit.

There is the age old mantra, nothing is 100% secure and everything gets hacked eventually. That hasn't yet been proven false, so it would be a first.

And as much as SciresM knows about the Switch, nobody is perfect and he could have missed something. Bugs can be hard to spot even if you are are the author of the original source code and you are staring directly at it. Often they're only discovered by accident.

Since it will be compatible with switch 1 games, what's the possibility of it having something to migrate configs and games from switch 1? Maybe switch 2 will be hackable using an already hacked switch 1

I’m 100% doing this
Since you live in the USA, prepare to pay $630 plus sales tax for a $450 Switch 2, with upcoming tariffs (40% on video games and consoles), and $83 plus sales tax for $59 games. Are you still gonna buy 2?
