I mean, I experienced sound distortion on 4 out of 4 devices, which is consistent as far as my experiences go at least.



Yes, I've triple checked the guide and I'm sure I didn't miss any steps.
It seems rather isolated to you, which rather odd. Are you buying your systems second hand? Do work with magnets? (not trolling real question) There has be something causing your speakers to blow.

ive never had it happen to mine ._. or any of my friends... so idk

Nope, they're all limited editions I bought directly from Gamestop/Wal-Mart. And no magnets.
This is a rather odd case, like I said, software would replicate the same results over the headphones. If it only happens with by going above a limit, it's got to be hardware.
But it's really odd to have it happen 4 out of 4 times.
