Sony Teases the PS4 in New Video

Sony held a press conference a few months back unveiling the Playstation 4, showcasing some tech demos and bits of gameplay to show off the system's power. However, some people found one thing very conspicuous by its absence - the PS4 itself.

The actual device itself was nowhere to be seen at the conference. What does it look like? Is it just a black box? Or is it a device of strange, alien geometries, a device containing madness and woe with 8 gb of ram?

Well, today we have our answer... kinda. Sony has just released this teaser.



It looks pretty nice, but I hope they'll take out all the blur out of the final product. I like my home electronics to be clearly defined.

According to the text at the end of the clip, it appears that the console will be fully unveiled June 10th 6:00 PM PST - Sony's E3 conference, to be exact. Until then, this tease will have to sustain us.

Considering the original PS3 looked like a grill, I think this is natural evolution.

It was released yesterday, and if anything, that's a stupid move. They should've released it a bit after the Nextbox reveal, because people are going to care more about a new console's unveiling (Along with Call of Duty: Ghosts being shown) more than a teaser trailer with blurry images in the coming days.

I was bored so I went frame by frame on the 720p video.... I think they may now owe the people that did the CGI for razor blade commercials some money but otherwise there was a bit of vent porn but not a lot else.

I am happy for the person that got to play with their new video transitions package though.

Nah, the partial cloaking device is part of the built in DRM. You can't copy what you can't see properly.
