That's exactly what I was going to write.
All Sony EVER does is steal ideas.
So Nintendo sells Kinect to MS, then Sony makes a motion system that uses both a motion-sensing remote and a camera? PS Move? Seriously? Kinect + Wii much?
And then there's even the touch screen! (Nintendo DS)
But now, they've taken it too far with AR. -.-

Do you guys even know how to read?
Sony has been doing AR since PS2. PLAYSTATION TWO. PSP have AR even before the DS even DREAMED of having cameras.

One generation out of them all, big deal. Doesn't mean Sony doesn't usually steal some kind of idea. Anyone Sony fan who isn't blinded by their overpriced systems and terrible online (Basing this off of what my friends with PS3s say) will be able to agree.

Company's "steal" ideas to advance, they have to keep up or they won't make profit. The NGP may not be the most unique creation ever, but that doesn't make it complete shit.

Even if Sony does steal ideas, these ideas sell extremely well.

At least they were smart enough not to require 3G (personally I have no interest, but it's at least fortunate for those who may). With the ridiculous prices for cellphone and similar wireless plans in Canada, the initial purchase price for this thing will be the least of people's worries.
