Sony Investigating Virtual Reality Games

Well, if that gear were to come out, I hope it will be affordable. No matter how awesome it is I wouldn't want to spend $600+ on that piece of gear.

Anyways, this technology really looks awesome. It would fit a RPG very well IMO. possibly even shooters but I wonder what would happen if you're killed.

QUOTE(A Gay Little Catboy @ Jul 18 2011, 06:08 PM) I am pretty sure any kinda headgear that brings screens that close to your eyes can not be good for you.
In 3d on top of that. (if I read correctly)

I haven't did VR for a while, so I didn't know how good it is.

So will it be the ps4?

i was expecting nintendo to do this first but its still not a bad idea. how far can VR go, when will it come into reality (umm?) and will devs be able to make games easily. all these qns will have to be answered.

id love to see a vr pokemon game where you feel like you actually living on the game world and you give voice commands to your pokemon

This looks pretty interesting... I remember playing a couple of VR games many years ago at DisneyQuest and coming out amazed at what I had experienced.

I really wouldn't mind seeing something like this making a "return" but I'd like to see it done right without a humongous headset and an appropriate controller.

lawl, that thing looks like a Wii virtual reality add-on.

Also, this could be pretty cool. The casual gaming market needs a boost like this. Thanks, Sony.

What make it so casual?
Same thing that makes motion controls casual.

I just can't see it being used effectively in difficult games. Just CoD and some tech-demos.
