for those who don't know: sonic robo blast 2, the best 3D sonic game ever (sadly sega/sonic team can't even match up to this) ported to wii. it is a platformer, with sonics speed, perfect, the way a 3D sonic should be (imo, the only thing thats missing are the loops). just go here for info http://www.srb2.org/

quick steps: download this http://repos.srb2.org/srb2wii/srb2wii-ios.tar.bz2 (ios version), or this http://repos.srb2.org/srb2wii/srb2wii-mini.tar.bz2 (for BootMii). the 1st link (IOS) is reccommended.

note: i only tested the IOS version, so these steps might only apply to it.

1.when you finish extracting the folder, there will be an apps folder and a folder called srb2wii. put the srb2wii folder (THE ONE THAT WAS IN THE APPS FOLDER) in the apps folder of your memory card

2. put the other srb2wii folder in the root

3. you will need some files, but to save you some time, i have uploaded them. just replace the current, empty sd/srb2wii with it. http://www.zshare.net/download/73408259875bba1a/

when you start it, there will be a black screen with text. just wait, and some old-school windows-thing will pop up. the only controller that can be used at the screen (of now) is the wiimote. just press 2, there's really nothing you can do at the moment. there will be another black screen/white text screen. wait for it, the game will finally start. for now, the only buttons that can be used are the 2 and B button on the wiimote, so no, you cannot access multiplayer or anything else yet, sadly. keep pressing B/2, the level will start (no you cannot choose tails or knuckles yet). if a classic controller is connected, you can use that and play the game normally. i only played the 1st 3 levels, so i dont know how the others run.

to play as knuckles or tails, you will have to make save files with the character from the pc version, and replace your wii save with it (pain in the ass, huh). here is a link http://www.zshare.net/download/7340812957557377/

The reasons you don't see it here is because:

- it isn't finished
- it's pretty much a modified version of wii linux and not a native port
- with the state that the port's in, it'll be bad publicity
- it should stay within the SRB2 community where it was generated
- this topic will likely be full of people asking how to make it work because people can't read

But Callum's the authority on this, so he should be the one doing most of the talking.

Hi Dr.Killa, thanks for trying out SRB2Wii. =P I would appreciate it if you didn't start advertising until I think the port is in a good enough state for release though, at the moment it of course does have some rough edges that would shy away some newcomers to Wii homebrew or SRB2. =P
