Homebrew Sonic 3 Complete on jenesisDS?

I know there is a way to get Sonic 3 & Knuckles working on jenesisDS as outlined in this thread:

But is there any way to get the popular hack Sonic 3 Complete (http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1056/) to work on it? When patched, the game's file size is under 4mb, though it still doesn't load at all in jenesisDS. Does anyone know how to make it work, or perhaps someone can make an ips similar to the other thread?

Think the only way you can get it to run if you strip out all competition mode. I can go strip out the competition mode from a S3K disassembly and try it.

C'mon, everyone knows that stripping out competition mode from S3K is an endeavor that takes 5 years minimum.

You'd have to wait for another Genesis/MegaDrive to appear for the DS/DSi.
jEnesisDS only supports ROMs that are 3MB and lower, due to the DS RAM size.
