Sonic 3 AIR for the Nintendo Switch

A big thanks to Eukaryot for the original project and inviting me to help make this happen. Hope everyone enjoys the best versions of the full Sonic tetralogy on the Switch.

NOTE: This is a closed source release as per the request of the original author.

I was just dreaming about this game coming to NX. I'm probably a wizard, but thanks to you anyway.

I think forwarder would be really welcomed. Can we make one? I'm sure it's ez, I just dunno how.

First time playing AIR and I'm really impressed with all the new options. Goes above and beyond the Whitehead ports and is competing with Sonic 3 Complete. Fantastic to have this on Switch now.

This is awesome!
The whole Sonic Genesis saga now available with proper open source code!

A whole dream come true!

What other options does it have?
I've been wondering, as to me S3C is still the all-in-all Sonic 3 experience to me.

The new gameplay options are the most interesting.

- Randomized special stages, probably from Blue Sphere mode
- Shield upgrades: first shield is S1/2 style, hold onto it and find another box to get elemental
- Randomize all item boxes or just shield types

But there's also some neat cosmetic stuff:

- Muffled sound when underwater
- Slightly blur the background graphics, so gameplay elements stand out more
- No Sonic 1/2 animations, but you can enable peel-out animation for high speed
- Whitehead standard stuff like smooth character rotation and remastered audio (but you can emulate original style too)

And you also have from S3C tails assist, bighands for all, darkened icecap, and just about the same long list of music options.

Any chance for a Wii U port? All these decompilations lately have been awesome, seems like any of them that aren't too taxing are totally viable for Wii U, seems like all these Sonic decompilations could feasibly make it to Wii U as well.
