Hacking Some help with my iPlayer

Okay, so I bought an iPlayer from www.themott.com, but I couldn't get mp4 files to play, is there a way to do so on the iPlayer directly? or do I have to convert the file format to something else?
If there is a way to get it to run even if the audio and video isn't synced would be fine for me as all I want to do for some of the mp4 files is to listen to them.

Pretty sure that .mp4 files encoded with h.264 don't play very well. You'd have to encode them to another format, unfortunately. Kinda sucks, seeing as how the iPlayer's supposed to play any media format right out of the box.

Yea, I guess I'll have to convert, thank you!
I know they never claimed it, but it would have been nice to see some back door way into playing the files...
