Hi,

I've an softmodded 4.1J wii, based on wiihacks.com guide. Which I believe it covers steps from 1 to 5 from this page guide.

Im noob on this, so is safe to me to follow steps 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11,and my wii will be 4.1U and all the hacks will work?

Thank you very much!

As long as your Wii isnt a region changed korean one this guide works.

first and foremost, thank you very much for making a comprehensible guide for noobs such as myself, I succesfully went from a 3.4J to a 4.1U without a cinch..... or so I thought

well, I followed every step on the guide and as I said ended up with the desired region change, I proceeded to install cioscorp (which I then uninstalled and updated to the latest version because of the hackmii compability and less intrusion, but that was after the problem I'm about to present occurred).

As I said, everything is working perfectly except that the wii won't boot, except to Preloader whenever I hold reset at startup. If I don't press reset, the wii will turn on (green light) briefly, and then go to a standby yellow light and stay there until I turn it on pressing reset. Once I get to preloader everything works flawlessly, I can go to the system menu, bootmii, etc without a problem, but it's still a hassle having to boot to preloader every single time. Is this normal? Some fix for it? Oh, and also, I would like help trying to sort out the "Disc Read Error" in super smash bros brawl using a dvd5 version

Thanks in advance

Sorry by being a gravedigger, but anyone knows how to do this with the 4.3 firmware. I just bought a japanese wii and didn't know.
