R4Team is gone. There is no one to contact.

YSMenu might just be the bare bones, but since it runs of DSTT firmwre, when they get a Fix, we do too.

The R4 Team is no more, they have basically disbanded and left the flashcard scene. So theres no new R4 in the works, there will be no new firmware update or anything like that. The R4 is dead, its stopped being manufactured and updated.

There are many flashcarts that are better than R4DS. Like a Cyclo.
If you have the Money, Buy A Cyclo DS.

harilous, I know of a shop that sold the first gen r4 for 80!! CAN... you know what he told me!? "this is the newest and best in china" I call his bluff and told him "this just in, Europe did better (refering to cyclo), what your selling is D/Ced" he was convienced R4 was amazing.

They're still being sold because stores still have backstock of them, and they want to keep making as much money as they can for their investment.
You don't think R4 is gonna buy the old stock back, do you?
They have enough money trouble as it is, right now.

I actually recommend the DSTT or Itouchds over the Cyclods.
primarily since they are much cheaper and have most of the features that the cyclods does.

r4ds is still a good cart anyway, so where's the problem? other than using some fixes it's not like it doesn't make some games work, all the games i downloaded till now worked no prob (about 50 games), except for some like chrono trigger, which needs anti piracy fix cheat. use it till it works and is continued to be mantained by game fixes, don't need to change now i suppose.
