From what I understood, they are essentially making ONE privacy agreement for ALL of googles sites. Instead of there being a different one for each google owned site.

Ok.

EDIT: Wait...aren't they just using information you use on one Google product and somehow using it in another? OOOH SCARY!
Well y'know, some people are paranoid and others overly-cautious.
"Oh god!!! I searched Broccoli on google images and now they show ads for...GASP! BROCCOLI IN MY GOOGLE+!!"

I'm pretty sure anybody that uses google services is aware of the change.

I got THREE e-mails about it, google maps popped up a notice when I was using it in-browser on the ipad, and when I tried signing into my gmail account today it showed me a page about the change before letting me get to my inbox.

This.... doesn't sound that bad to me. The only people this would effect are people who look up child porn or something....

EDIT: Same as Rydian, I've gotten three emails about this too.

Google's algorithms are pretty useful, actually. It makes searching for stuff that you want a hell of a lot easier, at least.

What about ACTA? Everyone was so worked up over SOPA/PIPA but no one seems to care about ACTA. There was a thread made here about it but it seems it has already been forgotten. ACTA is what we should be worried about.

Hey guise, maybe focusing all of our efforts on ONE bill isn't a good idea. Its funny how the movement went from "I'm for internet privacy and net neutrality" to "I hate corporations/companies/business/America/ kjsfgdskghudhgfvubfv 99%!!!!!!!" all in a matter of days.
