Honestly I wouldn't have cared if it was a Sm4sh DX, but that easily could've been released last year or early this year. If it was a port we'd be playing it already. That's a guarantee.It's okay for it to be a port.

Nope. That's what makes this obviously not a port. Every "DX" version just has the game plus DLC. 'Sm4sh DX' wouldn't have Ice Climbers, Snake, Ridley, or Inklings. It wouldn't have Daisy or female Pokemon trainer. It wouldn't have any returning stages. It wouldn't have lighting improvements or other visual changes. MK8D is MK8 plus DLC and plus 1 FPS. That's it.

Soul Calibur 6 is a port of Soul Calibur 5. I mean, it looks the same. So, that logic applies right?Really this debate has its roots in the fighting game genre as a whole. There's not a lot of varied gameplay in fighters, most of them have been the same since SNES. That doesn't mean the new Soul Calibur game is a port of the Gamecube version, it just means nobody wants to fix what isn't broken.
