Gaming Smash Bros on DS

Even though the last 3 versions of Super Smash Bros were on a console, do you think there'll be a game for the DSi? with the faster ram and everything, there might be a possibility? what do you guys think?

I know for a fact many homebrewers have tried making versions on this on the DS but do you think Nintendo will ever release one themselves?

The Super Smash Bros. line of games have already established themselves very well on Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo isn't gonna fix what ain't broken.

It would work, but it would be working backwards, why bother downgrading the graphics, making the roster smaller and generally making the game crappier just so it can be handheld. If it was 2D it just wouldn't be smash bros and if they made it as good as the original N64 one people would still bitch about how shit it is.

Why bother, play street fighter on a snes emulator or something.
