@shinyquagsire23 Question about the new version of SaltySD, how exactly would one build using MakeFile?

Have devkitARM installed and run 'make' in the same directory, not much to it.

So I try doing this, and I get:

smash/Makefile: line 2: .SUFFIXES:: command not found
smash/Makefile: line 5: syntax error near unexpected token '$(strip $(DEVKITARM)),'
smash/Makefile: line 5: 'ifeq ($(strip $(DEVKITARM)),)'

...wat

edit: when I do make -f whatever it gives me:

warning: NUL character seen; rest of line ignored
*** missing separator. Stop.

Any help?

Edit 2, I got it working, updated Luma, enables code.bin patching, launched Smash, and...crashes. Undid that, rebuild update CIA, and...it replaced the entire game (?) trying to figure this out.

• Complete overhaul on hooks, faster loading, no more online/local play timeouts

I'd highly suggest updating to it if you can. Also, if you run Luma3DS, you can load SaltySD without installing an update .cia as of this commit. I believe you can do this by renaming the code_saltysd.bin file to 00040000000EDF00.bin for US, 00040000000EE000.bin for EUR and 00040000000B8B00.bin for JPN and placing it in sdmc:/luma/code_sections

Can't wait for SaltySD v1.0!

Thanks to the new hook, all the Kirby glitches have been fixed. Hats now show, and the game will not crash when inhaling certain characters.

It isn't @shinyquagsire23 's problem, there is an issue with your audio files.

I just went on the site and downloaded and installed what it said. I just need a working code.bin, for some reason the one I get using the makefile does not work.

I just went on the site and downloaded and installed what it said. I just need a working code.bin, for some reason the one I get using the makefile does not work.

Does it give out a mount_sdmc error?

Try opening Programmers Notepad or whatever and then choosing "open" and open the makefile. Then go to "tools " and choose Make.

I tried the game too, but yes, you do need the update.

Yeahhhhh, I messed up one of the hooks. I wound up making a crap Citra branch which could let me override the code.bin and one of my hooks was bad. I usually test this stuff by uploading the code over network so sometimes I miss these things...
