Can't wait for SaltySD v1.0!Just shooting this over here, but there's a new SaltySD release at https://github.com/shinyquagsire23/SaltySD/commit/d99f5aa34818cb82c72f8c579aaca7bb8233a510
I'd highly suggest updating to it if you can. Also, if you run Luma3DS, you can load SaltySD without installing an update .cia as of this commit. I believe you can do this by renaming the code_saltysd.bin file to 00040000000EDF00.bin for US, 00040000000EE000.bin for EUR and 00040000000B8B00.bin for JPN and placing it in sdmc:/luma/code_sections
- No more cachegen.py
- Complete overhaul on hooks, faster loading, no more online/local play timeouts
- New files coming fairly soon
Thanks to the new hook, all the Kirby glitches have been fixed. Hats now show, and the game will not crash when inhaling certain characters.Hopefully it won't crash if kirby copies falco's ability
It isn't @shinyquagsire23 's problem, there is an issue with your audio files.GASP! Does this fix audio problems,@ Shiny Quagsire?
I have tried...but it either crashes and restarts or just doesn't load the update. How do I rebuild a smash update?
I just went on the site and downloaded and installed what it said. I just need a working code.bin, for some reason the one I get using the makefile does not work. How do we set devkitARM up? I have Luma3DS and a9lh on sysnand btw.
http://devkitpro.org/wiki/Getting_Started/devkitARMCan you link me to the site you went on?
Does it give out a mount_sdmc error?I just went on the site and downloaded and installed what it said. I just need a working code.bin, for some reason the one I get using the makefile does not work.
In what, installing it or with the makefile?Does it give out a mount_sdmc error?
when building the code_saltysd.binIn what, installing it or with the makefile?
Try opening Programmers Notepad or whatever and then choosing "open" and open the makefile. Then go to "tools " and choose Make.when building the code_saltysd.bin
I tried that, still the same error. Do I retrieve the code.bin from the smash update or from the base game?Try opening Programmers Notepad or whatever and then choosing "open" and open the makefile. Then go to "tools " and choose Make.
I tried the game too, but yes, you do need the update.I tried that, still the same error. Do I retrieve the code.bin from the smash update or from the base game?
Okay, so how do I dump the update (I have dumped it before but maybe the I tried method does not work well)I tried the game too, but yes, you do need the update.
Just found out how to rebuild updates tried SaltySD with 1.1.6 and it crashes. So how many people have this problem so far?
Yeahhhhh, I messed up one of the hooks. I wound up making a crap Citra branch which could let me override the code.bin and one of my hooks was bad. I usually test this stuff by uploading the code over network so sometimes I miss these things...http://devkitpro.org/wiki/Getting_Started/devkitARM
@shinyquagsire23 Can you PM me your salty_code.bin? Mine isn't working with Luma but an older one is...
Works, thanks for using your time to help the Smash 3DS modding community. Now time for some music mods.....without the crashing.Yeahhhhh, I messed up one of the hooks.
