I was using USB Loader GX until it stop recognizing my hard drive so I switched to Conf. USB Loader.

I can get USB Loader to recognize my drive but I have to unplug and replug the power from the HDD.

I miss the interface of USB Loader GX and prefer it over Conf. USB Loader.

My question is: Is there software I can install on the Wii that mount my hard drive when the Wii starts up? This way I can use USB Loader GX without getting up to unplug and replug in the power?

what you are doing is not normal. usb loader gx should have detected your hdd upon loading the application. why don't you try to use a different usb loader gx revision if you really like its interface compared to other loaders.

my guess is that your problem is a slow harddrive. I have a slow harddrive too. I found the source to a very good forwarder and changed it to retry to initiate the harddrive for 7 seconds, instead of 5.

Both WiiFlow 249 and 222 won't mount my hard drive.

And if you are the developer can you add an option to let users change the path to game images.
I have all the images and I'm not going to re-download them for WiiFlow.

Does your hard drive power down when not in use automatically?

You may need to go to your manufacturers website to get a small util that will turn this off.

I believe it does. I have a Seagate FreeAgent.
I looked on their site but couldn't find such utility.

Thanks. I've been busing trying to figure out how to burn GameCube games.
I'll try this out later.

Thanks.
