Hacking [?]Slim Liteon Drive Not Reading Discs

So after getting my dvd key from my slim drive and putting it back together, the drive wont read discs. But its weird.

It doesnt say unrecognized disc. I can open/close the tray, but after closing it with a game (or a dvd or somethin) itll say reading for half a second, then give me the option to open tray. The drive is spinning so i know thats working, the open/close commands (from the console or menu) works. So idk whats the deal. I took it apart again to see if anything was disconnected but it wasnt. I didnt flash it, just got the key.

You likely have caused some damage on the drive PCB.
Or accidentally knocked the laser POT down.

Try upping the lasers POT a few Ohms.

Ah that could be it. Ok ill give it a whirl later. Im eventually gonna install an xk3y so its not gonna be a problem if its borked

it's only quick way I can think off.
I never had an issue with it as I flashed/extracted keys with a connectivity kit and X360 USB.

It may just be an old drive because ive use my usbpro plenty of times. I just bought this xbox and i heard that some drives have that issue.

It's a shame that Xecuter never released the Xode.
I'd love to have one ;/

But yeh, DVD drives die eventually.
The lasers just burn out.
