Hacking Sky3ds update game/software, should I?

I have the option before booting up a game to update the software for it? Should I do this or can this cause issues?

It's just the game update so it should all be find.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they should be stored on the system/sd card and not the game cart.
So it shouldn't interfere with anything.

Thanks for the replies everyone. On the latest firmware. Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't result it any sort of ban. Will go ahead with the updates .

You really need to read up on whats going on.
