I know that the PRO CFW series has it as an option in the recovery menu or maybe the VSH menu. If you're on an older CFW you'll want a plugin, forgot the name of it though (it was one of the ones that added more VSH options).

If the option is there, go ahead and try it.

i received my psp used with the custom firmware previously installed. is there a way i can make a back up of the nand in case i make an error occurs?

eliminating the boot screen works! i hated how loud the logo was while entering games

Hellcat's Recovery Software (PSP homebrew) can, but if your NAND gets corrupted you'll need a Pandora to boot it up into a recovery system to replace the NAND image.

Hellcat's Recovery software can but you need to do a NAND dump vs a backup. the nand dump will create a single file with the whole contents of the nand that can be flashed back via a Pandora Battery+DC8 MMS.

Is there something that skips the boot thing when playing PS1 games? It takes forever.

I don't like making new threads.
