Hacking Simply trying to copy updated mario kart save file from wii to wii u

Using the savegame manager on the wiiu's vwii is impossible so i did a little digging and found that i should install this cios thing. Heres where i read it:

so i went to the guide here:

and when i get to step #9it stops at :
Dumping file /shared1/content.map, size = 3KB ...

and hangs there awhile before giving me this error
Error making directory -1...

what am i doing wrong?
